Aesthetic Treatments
Prosthetic Restauration
When one or more teeth are affected and there’s not enough tissue left to have an anchorage that’s adequate enough, another possibility is to place a crown or a bridge. Depending on the quantity of tissue left, different options are possible.
Facings
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns

In the same way as for facings, the tooth is prepared and an impression is being made. On the second appointment the crown is placed.
Bridges

When there’s a tooth missing, it can be replaced by using the neighbouring teeth. They are prepared and an impression is then made. De bridge is placed on the next appointment. The bridge forms one piece whre the missing tooth is replaced with a floating piece holding on to its neighbours.

Bleaching
First appointment
On the first appointment will be decided if it’s possible to bleach your teeth. It works only on natural teeth so crowns, bridges and filling will remain the same color as before. Factors such as genetics or medication (for example coloration by Tetracyclines) make the bleaching treatment more complicated.
Second appointment
At the second appointment, the whitening braces will be fitted and you will be given instructions on how to use the whitening gel. The gel must be placed on the inside of the bleaching mold, in small drops of 2mms
Controls
During the treatment we’ll have a few short checkups to see how the treatment is going and the evolution of the color.
Mild sensitivity
During the treatment you can experience a light sensitivity. This is temporary and will disappear after the treatment.
Lifting of the occlusion
A lifting of the occlusion is necessary when there’s erosion and grinding of the teeth. They are worsened by drinking sodas and eating acidic foods. As a consequence the patient can experience hypersensitivity and loss of tooth tissue.
The lost tissue will be replaced with the principles of biomimetics with restorations, facings and onlays. This procedure will be done after rigorous analysis and estimate.
